  1. My life was outrages before quarantine. I will get up every morning looking forward to practice that night. It would always be some crazy stuff happening in my life. But, I REALLY don't miss anything that happened before quarantine that was bad. I miss all of the happy things that happened. Unfortunately I will not be able to do anything everyday because of the Corona Virus or COVID-19. I don't even miss school or anybody there. I really just miss my teammates on my AAU team and my coaches. But mainly, I miss going out to places and having fun. Recently all I've been doing is staying in the house because my mom said she doesn't want me to catch the corona virus.

I really just miss my AAU teammates. I miss them because every time I am around them its just good vibes. There's never no drama (probably once or twice). You can always count on my coaches and teammates to be there for me. I always feel safe in there environment. The thing is we all grew up together so it's like they are family. It's not just about us being a good team its about unity and trust. If we have a problem with one another we will discuss it privately and not put it on the internet or make a big scene in front of our teammates. We would handle it like young women and be mature. But this is to sum it up I just miss being around kids that has the same mindset as me and doesn't want to get caught up in no mess.

I miss going out to places and having fun. I miss going out to like my coaches house. My team lock ins at the church. I miss going to games every weekend. I miss going to the mall or store's without fearing to get sick by a virus or illness. I miss socializing with the outdoor world. And because this COVID-19 stuff I couldn't even play in my All STAR tournament that I worked for all season!! I miss going outside and playing basketball with the boys down the street and up the street. Its just so much that I miss doing that contains going somewhere and having fun it is so crazy. But, I am going to wrap it all up here.

Thank you for reading my essay.

    1. Seems like AAU is a very influential part of your life. I see that you've created real bonds there. Hopefully you all still keep in touch. I think you did a good job stating you claims and elaborating why you miss those specific things.

  2. There are a couple things that I miss from before being in quarantine. Being in quarantine changes my whole schedule and everyday life was easy and simple, and I could go out and do the things I wanted to do or usually did.

One of the first things I miss is my friends. Everyday when I went to school I was able to see my friends, talk to them, and have fun. Now since we are quarantined I cant see them anymore. We can only get on the phone and Its a little boring.

Another big part that I miss before quarantine is going out. Before quarantine I was able to go out to the mall, sleepovers, and other fun places. For now I am stuck in the house bored and have nothing to do but work, which leads me to why I miss school.

I also really miss school. One of the main reasons I miss school is because the working at home is a little hard. The work we have to do at school is easier then what we do at home.I would just rather go to school and do my work with some assistants from my teachers and peers then work at home.

    1. Quarantine life isn't the easiest. Has your entire quarantine experience been boring? If so definitely try to find something new to interest you. At times like Besides that life should slowly start shifting back to normal hopefully.

  3. One of the things I miss from my life pre-quarantine is being able to freely go places. Ever since we've been in quarantine, which is about a month, nobody can go anywhere because of social distancing. The government orders everyone to stay at least 6 feet or more apart. They said this because the virus can spread easily from person to person. And that could a mass effect on the community.

Another thing I miss is attending actual school. Before quarantine, I think actual school was over-looked and now many people want to go back. It's nearly been a month or later since anybody attended their normal public, private, or charter school. This allows many people to work, and do other things from home.

Finally, I miss going out without having to wear a mask. Masks and gloves do play a big part in staying safe, but I have to wear them everywhere I go. To me, it can get hard to breath wearing masks all the time, but it's still helpful.

    1. I agree with you the mask and gloves are a little annoying although they serve a good purpose. School may have seemed annoying earlier on, but as you stated many people would like to go back, including myself. Good Job!

  4. My life before quarantine was great because I was free and I was able to go out and do things.

The first thing I miss the most is basketball. First of all I missed my first middle school all-star game due to the Covid-19 and quarantine. Secondly I miss that I can not see my AAU team mates. AAU is basically life to an basketball player. I'm now forced to play in my backyard on dirt.

The 2nd thing I miss is 1 assignment per class. In school we'll get like 1 to 2 worksheets per class average but on online work I get assignments all due on different days. I also miss the atmosphere of the classroom. In their the only distractions are your peers and noise at home there is the PlayStation, TV , Basketball Goals , and Phones.

The last 1 is My Friends. Tbh I miss some people from the school I might come back or I might not but I haven't talked to most of my friends since we got out. They're mostly my close friends too. I'm not going to lie I miss everything about life before quarantine. But hopefully when this is over we can go back to a normal life

    1. Congrats on making your first middle school all-star game, but I can tell keep it up and they'll be many more to come. What do you mean AAU is basically life to an basketball player? Elaborate a little more keep in mind not a lot of us don't play AAU. I miss the classroom atmosphere as well. I like that you expanded on the various distractions that being at home presents opposed to being at school. Good Job. Try not to use text language like tbh just spell it out. To be honest. I hope everything goes back to normal as well.

  5. Before the quarantine my life was a tragedy. I had stacks of homework that I had to get done. I wouldn't say it's all bad though. I get to get done with all my work early. Then I do whatever I please.

Because of the coronavirus then world has entered a recession . Sadly I can't do what I was once able to. I miss being able to go to the park and play basketball with my friends. Basketball is literally the only thing that I missed the most. In basketball It was hard to lose cause I kept blocking them all. Those were some good times.

I really miss when I was able to go places outside with my family. Being quarantine isn't fun, having to stay indoors all day. It's like being on house arrest. Just can't wait for this to all be over. well, Time for me to go. Peace.

  6. Life for me was lavish, until we were forced to be quarantined. I used to be able to do a lot of fun things. Which is unfortunate that I cannot do those fun things, till the government announces that quarantine is over and the virus is cleared.

One of the fun things that I personally miss, is going to school. School is just the right place for a young teen like me. As a student, you obviously go to school to get an education. While getting your education, you have the opportunities to collaborate with friends and educators. Which is most importantly fun to me about school.

Secondly, I miss hooping (playing basketball). Basketball is a sport I could go on and on about. It's just a sport I take to heart, because I know I have a lot of talent at it. I know I have potential in going pro, whether its in the NBA or overseas. It's a fun and competitive sport to play. Which makes it something I miss due to the circumstances that are going on right now.

Lastly, I miss going out. There's so many places I would like to go and have a little fun with family and friends, but unfortunately I cannot go out anywhere. Due to this chaotic event that's going on. So I cannot wait until the government announces that this virus is cleared and that quarantine is over. Anyways I'd rather be safe then have fun.

    1. I think I need some tips from you on how to live a lavish life. Taking sports away has definitely forced us to find new things to do. Hopefully you've studied basketball film or picked up a new hobby in it's absence. Good job.

  7. My life before the pandemic was outgoing and fun. I had the freedom to go to the store, get food, and see my family and friends. However, rona was on her own schedule. Now i can't do most of the things i want to do like go to the mall to get the latest clothes. Now instead of wearing my cute clothes outside where they can be seen i have to rock a shirt and sweatpants in my room. My life before coronavirus was just normal.

Another i miss is my friends Arianna and Leanna. Also know as "girls in the back" in Mr.Ford's class. They were really nice, funny, and easy to talk to. Their my best friends and i wish i could see them in person. Due to the governor a shelter in place order has been put in place so it prevents me from seeing them. Hopefully when rona is over we can hang out in the summer.

Finally, I miss going to school. I'm not going to lie i actually kind of like online school because we can do our homework on our own time and not right away unlike the classroom, but i do agree with the fact that we get less work in school than online. I won't be able to get my award for all my work at the end of the year. Also i can't have field day with my peers which is the funnest day of the year. These are some of the ways coronavirus has affected my life.

  8. Quarantine has been a very tough time. The coronavirus has had us locked away in our homes. Let´s not let these dark times distract us from the good times we had. I´m here to talk about the moments I miss from pre-quarantine. Those were some good times

I miss an considerable amounts of stuff from before the quarantine. I miss all my friends from school, and school as well. I miss having social interactions with people in real life. I miss sports such as the NBA or college basketball. Out of all these, that´s not what I miss the most. What I miss the most was playing, goofing, laughing, and having fun without the threat of being infected by a highly contagious pandemic.

It´s times like these where we gotta remain positive. We really don know much about the coronavirus or how to cure it. A cure could take weeks, months maybe even years. Fox News has reported there are some vaccines that are showing promises in early tests. Whether the vaccine takes months or years, we must stay positive. A vaccine will be created sooner or later and everything will be nearly back to normal.

  9. My life before quarantine was relatively fine. I had the ability to go out to the store or just get out of the house without having any concerns. I was able to go to school and come back home and do whatever I wanted. I was also able to see friends at school. Once the pandemic started significantly spreading in the U.S schools and places had to be shut down. Then we were shortly put on lockdowns or quarantine so we couldn’t leave the house and stay inside. Now I’ll have several months to spend inside the house due to the dangerous pandemic.
Things I miss before quarantine was simply just having the ability to go out. I was able to go out to different stores with my parents, or even just going to school. I was able to leave and go to different places without issue. I didn’t have to be stuck inside a home for several months. I had the free chance to go wherever I please.
Another thing I miss is being able to see family and friends. Due to quarantine family members can’t meet each other because of it. I have family that I miss seeing and would like to see but can’t at this time. I also miss a lot of my friends I used to see at school, and having the ability to talk to one another face to face, as well as being able to mess around with them.
In conclusion, there are a lot of things I miss before quarantine, and I hope all will return to normal as soon as possible. I miss going out as well as seeing all my friends. Doing schoolwork in school was easier than online school. I miss going out and seeing friends without concern.

  10. Life before quarantine was simple yet fun. I miss all the small details of just being able to go outside for a walk or go to the movies with friends. Once the pandemic of COVID-19 started schools and business started shutting down at a very fast rate. Since the pandemic started and schools shut down along with businesses we are stuck at home. Life changed in flash but it’s good to focus on the good instead of the bad.

One of the things I miss pre-pandemic was being able to go places with friends. Although I didn’t go many places with friends pre-pandemic, it was still nice to be able to make up plans to go somewhere and have fun with them. Another small detail I miss is just being able to freely go somewhere without a time to be back inside. Since the pandemic has happened I can’t go places to meet my family members which I miss. All in all the small details in life just meeting friends and family and just going out.

Even though a lot of bad things have happened this year we have to stay positive and remember the good times we’ve had. I actually do miss school it was much easier and fun than online school. I miss hanging out with my friends and family. I miss the freedom of just being able to go anywhere I please. Nevertheless as Walt Whitman has said “Keep your face towards the sunshine and shadows with fall behind you”.

Right now everyone is on Quarantine. Before quarantine I was able to do many things that I am not able to do now. Those things/activities are cheerleading, going to school, seeing my friends, and going certain places. Quarantine due to the Coronavirus has been a very bad and boring experience.
One thing that I miss about life (pre-quarantine) is cheerleading. Cheer is my favorite sport. I haven't been able to cheer in a few months which makes me upset. The cheerleaders at DPA won't be able to preform our showcase which was supposed to be April 2nd due to quarantine. I also won't be able to tryout in person for the 2020-2021 school year. Cheer is the main thing that I miss.
I also miss the fact that I'm not able to see my friends. My friends are the people that I see the most besides the people that I live with, so not being able to see them makes my life miserable. I also miss going to certain places such as restaurants and clothing stores. When I'm bored I just usually go to stores or the mall. Due to the Coronavirus and us being on Quarantine I am not able to go shopping and I'm being forced to stay at home which is boring.

Quarantine has changed my daily ritual in variety of ways. I am now having to do school work from home. Also , I have to communicate with my teachers and classmates virtually. It has been complex but I have been working to adapt to this new temporary lifestyle. In this essay, I will explain what I miss about my daily life before quarantine.

Before this entire pandemic occurred, I would wake up to get dressed and go to school. My teachers would be able to assist me with anything at any moment I needed help. My friends and I could also communicate with my friends and classmates face to face. As of right now, all we can communicate through is cellular devices. This paragraph explains what I miss about my life prior to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Due to quarantine, my lifestyle has temporarily changed. My living room has now turned into my area to do school work. Cellular devices and technology is my only source to reach my teachers. This process has been very complex, but I am working to get used to this for now. In this essay, I have explained what I miss about my daily routine prior to the pandemic.

The Coronavirus pandemic has brought big changes and has affected my life greatly. Now, the government has issued a nationwide quarantine to attempt to stop Covid-19 from spreading from person to person. Because of this quarantine, I can no longer do the everyday things I loved to do.Every day, waking up to go to school was the norm, but now all I have to do is wake up and open my laptop to attend classes. Now, I miss having the privilege of going outside, being able to go to school and seeing my teachers and friends face to face.

Covid-19 quarantining has taken many of my privileges and the things I hold dear away. For example, going outside is highly discouraged and because of this schools are not allowed to continue. Walking around the neighborhood after school was one of my favorite activities to do. Going to school were one of the only ways of seeing my friends and engaging with them on a daily basis and being able to communicate with my teachers face to face. Being able to go to common places like the grocery store and seeing my extended family members are also thing that have been taken away from me and I have missed these things very much.

In conclusion, quarantine has changed many things in my life.I know enforcing a quarantine was needed to protect the people of this country, but a lot of privileges are being taken away. I really do miss going outside and having the freedom to anywhere at whatever time. I also miss seeing my friends and family, and going to school. Even though my pre-quarantine life was simple, the little things are what I miss the most.

  16. This covid-19 pandemic is what some people think is good. The question is what is our life before we had to be in quarantine?! The one thing that we know is that the government is either joshing with us or is more likely trying to let us to be safe. it seems like it will be a long time or short until we're out of the house. I want to be out side because their are some places that I always went to.

My life before quarantine is was me going out to eat on Fridays. The other things I like to do is go to a place called gamers experience. Their are many other places I would talk about but, their are to many places. What places did you go to pre-quarantine? Now its time to conclude.

In conclusion, this covid-19 pandemic is what some people think is good. Like I said i what to go somewhere but we have to stay inside. I hope my friends and classmates are safe and okay. I hope they also think the same for me. hey, if you had to write about this, what would you write?

Before we were forced to go into quarantine life simple and boring I could have thought what was going to happen the next day but now I don’t know what’s next. I'd get to eat my breakfast, brush my teeth, get dressed and go to school but now what I do is get up, eat breakfast in bed, watch TV then do school work. I can’t go to school so I can't even see my friends. The most thing I miss is probably going outside or going on long trips.

Now I can’t even leave to see my grandma or like go to my favorite restaurant cause most of the restaurants are closed and you have to order stuff i hope that this virus or disease goes away before summer break cause i hope we won’t have to go to summer school i did that once i’m not doing it again but if this doesn’t go over by time time summer comes then there goes another vacation outside so i’ll miss my favorite place to going to the pool for this summer.

That was fun while it lasted but good things all come to an end even if that end totally sucks.
So when this quarantine is over i know what i’m going to do for the first i’m going to try to meet up with my friends in real life so not only we get to know each other better and so our parents get to know each other and hang out more and i can also see how the rest of my family
Are holding up and going on another family trip.

    Things I miss before COVID-19.

Before COVID-19 I missed getting myself ready for school in the morning, and going into the classroom. Because of COVID-19 we are not able to go into the classroom to learn we now have Virtual Online classes which is new to me. So my daily routine for school has changed.

Other things that have changed is being face to face with family members. Me and my family now have to face time. Normally, when I am with my family someone is cooking on the grill, we are playing card games, kick ball, and just sitting around talking to one another enjoying each other company.

I also miss going to the mall, skating, eating out, and seeing my friends. No more shopping, enjoying my hobby skating, eating out, and of course I have to face time my friends also. I cant forget about how I cannot go the nail shop because of covid-19. I am glad I have braids in my hair so I do not have to worry about going to the hair salon. Covid-19 has caused a lot of changes however, keeping safe is more important.

  19. My life before quarantine was going great. Until or Covid-19
decided to take over the world. My life before the Coronavirus
pandemic was simple, easy, and awesome just the way I liked it. Before quarantine I was able to go to school five days the week, see my friends without being six feet apart or through the internet, and most importantly be able to travel freely anywhere I wanted to when I
wanted to. Now everyone thinks the only way to resolve this problem is to social distance or they think that Covid-19 isn’t real and that they are immune to it.

The thing I miss most is not being able to socialize in person with
one another. I'm not really a guy who was 13 million friends but I still miss talking to the few I do have. The thing I miss secondly is not being able to go to school. School wasn’t my favorite place to be 5 days a week but I still loved it a little, tiny bit in my heart. School was a place most people my age could go and make new friends, or learn new talents and attributes/skill or just learn the normal criteria.

Last but not least I miss the world not being so negative. I mean
yes, the world is in a pandemic but it's not the end of the world. Humanity will thrive and make it through this tough time like we always do. I just wanted to my life before the coronavirus pandemic wasn’t in shambles like it is now (sort of). The Covid –19 Pandemic was just a step back in life and I'm sure that the world will bounce back.

    ReplyDelete
  20. My life has changed drastically since the Coronavirus appeared. Before I felt more in tune with the world and the people around me. Now I feel somewhat imprisoned. I can’t visit family and friends, even my close family that I have a close relationship with. A lot of structure has gone.

I always enjoyed being in school and being instructed by my teachers and sometimes strongly encouraged to do and complete my work. Even though, by choice, I don’t have a lot of friends, I like the atmosphere of being around all of the students. For the last week, we have been doing Virtual School. Virtual School is quiet. There are no classmates yelling, crying, being noisy or distracting me from doing my work.

There is an upside. I have more time to do my work and my mom and grandmom can help me. The food is so much better than cafeteria food. If I need a break, I just take one. I can lie down, watch tv or go in the back yard, or even get a snack when I want. If I don't understand something, I don't have to raise my hand or wait. Mom is sitting right beside me so I just look to my right to find that she's already looking at me ready to help. I can really get used to this!

I will be happy when the virus leave us alone so that I can connect with the outside world without being afraid of dying or my family and friends dying.

  21. There are a few things that I miss before quarantine. Me being in quarantine has messed with my sleep schedule and other things that I did on a daily basis. Some of the things that I miss from pre-quarantine are my friends, cheering, and going out places. I can’t do any of these things because the government ordered everybody to stay at least six feet away from each other.
First and foremost I miss my friends and teachers. When I wasn’t on quarantine which meant my friends and I were able to laugh and joke around but no we have to talk on the phone which gets boring really fast. With my teachers it was easier to understand them better than over the phone because they could show examples and explain it better. Also when I used to hang out with my friends we used to go places but now everything is closed due to COVID-19. In addition to being on quarantine I no longer get to cheer because the school is shut down for the rest of the year.
Finally, I miss going places. All of the malls, restaurants, and fun places are closed down due to COVID-19. Also when you go to a grocery store you have to wear gloves and a mask. I miss being able to go to school and going to do other things that i used to do. i’m going to stop here but these are all of the things that i miss before quarantine.

  22. I miss a lot from being pre-quarantined! I wish I was able to go places without worrying about getting infected with something. I used to be able to go to stores but now a lot of stores are shutting down and closing and we have a stay at home order. This really affects life and messes up alot of plans and you have to stay home. A lot of people are getting affected and our numbers go up everyday so we have to wear masks which i really never had to before. I never am able to do things like before.

It was good before this coronavirus I used to be able to play with friends and do everyday things. I have to stay at home so i don't get affected and you can die or be a survivor. I would be able to go around people but now you have to stay six feet from people. I need to get my haircut and I need to go to the store with my parents but I can't. My parents are law enforcement and they are still arresting people and they could be affected but i hope not.

Life used to be so good and we never even heard of this type of virus. Being pre-quarantined is hard because a lot of people want to leave their homes. We can't even see our loved ones, we have to call and text them which does not feel the same. So the pandemic really messes things up for us. Life is not how it used to be and I used to be able to go to school. Hopefully the pandemic and pre- quarantined goes away so we can do the things we need to do!

  23. Before quarantine life was easy and simple we could go places we wanted to go. And we didn't have to be at home at a certain time. Its been about one month and there's a number of reasons what I miss from my old life. The first reason that I miss about my old life is getting up for school everyday to see my friends. Now we can't even see our friends or be in groups we have to be 6 feet apart from each other. Another thing I miss going places and seeing family members
we can only talk to them on virtual/face time.
I hope that this COVID-19 and being quarantined goes away before the summer time. Because I don't want to stay inside all summer I want to have fun such as, going to the pool, and having a barbecue with family. During this Covid-19 in stores such as cleaning products, and food has been very little due to quarantined in some stores they say you can only get one of the product when my mom and I went to the store and we were going to get 2 loaves of bread it had a sign and it said "only get one bread" because people go the extreme.
Life used to be good without Covid-19 being under quarantined is hard because you can't see your loved ones, go out to eat at restaurants I can't wait until this quarantined thing I over so we can go back to normal!!!!!

  24. Before Covid-19 was confirmed,I was working hard in school.I went to almost all of my brothers basketball, football games.I would go to the grocery store with my grand mother .I would hangout with my other siblings at my dads house .I used to do a lot of things before pre-quarentine.

Even though school can be boring ,I miss my teachers , my classmates ,going outside to lunch freely . I miss fast food restaurants. I miss my best friend. I miss going to the park with my dogs .II miss my life before quarantine.

Since quarantine, i've been working out , listening to music more , drawing ,and doing online class work . Thousands of people have died from covid-19 but it has also been a blessing for me.Yes school is important but safety is first. The Corona virus has taught me that fear is a virus also and you should always stay prayed up.Stay inside!!!!!

  25. The Coronavirus has caught the world by surprise. Many people thought it was a joke and it wasn’t serious but it proved them wrong. The virus got so out of hand that everyone had to go into quarantine. The first thing I miss about my everyday life is going to school. The second thing I miss is Hanging out with my friends. The third thing is going to the park to play basketball.

Before quarantine going to school was one of my favorite things to do but when the governor announced that we will be not returning to school I was kinda happy. That wasn’t until days and weeks went by that’s when I started to get sad and upset. The weekend before quarantine started me and my friends went to the mall and had a sleepover. We had a lot of fun. Later that when I arrived home I saw on the news that the governor was closing down the state. I immediately said to myself that we probably won’t be able to go anywhere for a while.
Before quarantine I use to go to a park aFCC

  26. Last year Chinese officials treated a dozen cases of pneumonia with a source they could not determine. Today, that unknown source is what is causing millions to stay in isolation. COVID-19 is a very dangerous and infectious pandemic that has swept the world. As a precaution, many institutes shut down and many people are in self-isolation. Due to these circumstances, many Americans are starting to long for the many activities that they used to take for granted. I am one of those Americans.
While I do not miss school I do miss the ability to physically talk to my friends. I also miss the basketball court, I’m not the best player but I do find it nice to play basketball. My hair is always a mess but in the past, I could rely on my barber to give me a clean slate, now I am stuck with this rat nest on top of my head. I cannot bear the tedious and unnecessary “precautions” my mother puts in place. I truly miss the time when I could simply touch my own items with having to worry that they’re drenched in hand sanitizer. I also miss being able to eat my food on the fly without having to worry it’s carrying some crazy, deadly pathogen. Lastly, I miss freedom. The freedom to walk out of my house, to stay close to people, to talk with a screen or mask in the way. I truly miss the freedom.
This pandemic has done terrible things to humanity, but it has also opened our eyes. Global warming is down significantly, showing us that it is possible. Many, many people have learned the importance of kindness in such trying times. We have started to realize how many things we take for granted. Most importantly we are coming together even though we are far apart.
