  1. The Tuskegee Experiment was a test ran on poor, black men. They were vaccinated or injected with a disease that weakens their immune systems. This all took place in Tuskegee, Alabama. I believe these people were experimented on because of racism/discrimination because of the things going on back then. I think the Tuskegee Experiment wasn't included into the history books because some people, most likely white people overlooked this as if it was something that occurred everyday. In conclusion, this experiment was targeted to black men to inject them with a deadly disease to kill them off or decrease the amount of African Americans.

  2. The Tuskegee Experiment was a test ran on poor, black, syphalitic sharecroppers. It affected not only the test subjects, but all their descendants. They were experimented on because the white people wanted to see if skin color affected the results of syphilis. This took place in Tuskegee, Alabama. It was omitted from the history books so black people would not know how they were treated. In conclusion, a horrible test was ran on black men.

  3. The Tuskegee experiment was a test ran on black men in poverty. This deadly vaccine not only affected the test subject,it also affected their ancestors. They only experimented on on those men because of racism, descrimination, and segregation. This might have been taking place 40 years ago. This isn't in out history books because during back then the white people didn't care so they over looked this important matter.

  4. In my eyes the Tuskegee experiment was a set up to kill black people. The disease affected black people and only black people. They were experimented on because they wanted to see if what they thought was true which was that syphilis was affected by race. So they used black people as their test dummies. The syphilis study took place in Tuskegee, Alabama. I believe that this event isn't in our history books because they don't want us to know the whole story or even know at all how they used, discriminated, and treated black people.

  5. The Tuskegee experiment was a test passed on to poor black men. It affected African American men only. I think they were only experimented on because of their race which was " black men " and they didn't care if they did get treated for it or not. If it were another type of race, they wouldn't have ever agreed to do that. It took place in Macon County, Alabama. I think it wasn't included in our history books because they didn't want the African American to know they were being treated and they just didn't care for them anyway, they wanted to get them injected by the disease to kill them.

  7. What is the Tuskegee experiment? A study that begin experimenting on black males in 1932 with Syphilis at the Tuskegee Institute. The study involved 600 black males and 400 were infected with the disease and 200 were not. Who did it affect? It affected the poor black share croppers in Tuskegee, Alabama. Why were those people experimented on? The purpose of the study was to determine if penicillin could prevent or cure syphilis infection. Per the video the government did not give a reason to why they did it. This experiment was performed on poor black share croppers who did not have a spokesperson to advocate for them during those times. Therefore, this is why it was done because if they were white individuals this would not had happen. Where did it take place? The experiment was carried out in Macon County, Tuskegee Alabama at the Tuskegee Institute. Why is'nt this included in our history books? Because the government did not want to make the world aware of the type of experiment that they performed on people of color and who were less fortunate.

  8. For 40 years the U.S. government operated Public Health Service for poor Black sharecroppers that had syphilis. So the government injected an disease in them. This was called the Tuskegee experiment. Which took place in Tuskegee, Alabama and was conducted in the 1930's through the 1970's. This isn't in our history books, because the government doesn't want to expose how culpable they were.

  9. The Tuskegee Environment was a clinical study of Syphilis being injected into a specific race and gender. The experiment affected indigent black men .The black men were targeted because blacks had limited resources ,funds, and were unable to take preventative measures .The Tuskegee Experiment took place in tuskegee, Alabama between 1932-1972.I believe that this experiment isn't in students history books is because whites don't want blacks to know how cruel whites treated black men.In conclusion, The Tuskegee Experiment intended to inject black men with a life threatening disease to reduce the amount of black men or kill them. BLACK LIVES MATTER.

The Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment was a study that was executed on poverty bound male African American sharecroppers. This study was done in Macon County, Alabama in the years 1932-1972. Since medical doctors and scientists did not know anything about the disease syphilis, the U.S government and the Public Health Service decided to use poor, uneducated African American male sharecroppers as their testing "prototypes". African American sharecroppers were the main targets for this study because of their stance in society. Since they were at the bottom of society's pyramid and uneducated, they did not have any knowledge about the disease they caught, and what was being injected into their bodies by the medical doctors without consent. In addition to that, African American sharecroppers were living in poverty. The government was paying sharecroppers for their services so they thought it as another source of income. This study killed more than 100 black males and has taunted the generations of the survivors of this study. More than 40 years after the study, the offspring and descendants of the survivors has inherited the syphilis gene and have suffered from it. This information is not included in American history textbooks because society does not want African Americans to know their history and learn about the horrid things the privileged non-minority did to our race back in the olden days. If we know what was done to us, the rights that have been taken away, and start to understand who we are as a people, we would start to demand our rights and stand up for ourselves which is what society does not want.

The Tuskegee Experiment intended to inject black men with a life threatening disease to reduce the amount of black men or kill them. The purpose of the study was to determine if penicillin could prevent or cure syphilis infection. The government did not give a good reason why they did it. They didn't put this in the history books because they did not want us to know the reason why they did it.
